Sara is from Halifax, NS and earned her Bachelor of Science with Combined Honours from Dalhousie University in Biochemistry and Chemistry. Sara then completed her Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering at Dalhousie University. She has been working as Dr. Wong's Research Coordinator for over two years. Sara is responsible for all aspects of study management, including recruitment, writing protocols, data collection, analysis, and publications. Sara enjoys playing and competing in ultimate frisbee, cooking, and travelling. She also enjoys taking her dog, Boris, for walks at the Halifax Commons.
Lauren is originally from Hillsborough, New Brunswick. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology (Honours) at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick and her Masters of Applied Science in Biology at Saint Mary’s University. Lauren joined Dr. Wong’s team in May 2019 and works as a Research Assistant and Fellowship Coordinator. Lauren is responsible for patient recruitment, data collection, and data management. She facilitates learning opportunities for learners such as residents and fellows. When she’s not at work, Lauren enjoys reading, exercising and watching football & rugby.
Jie is from Korla, China and graduated from Dalhousie University with Bachelor of Science with Honours in Environmental Science. She then completed her Master’s degree at Dalhousie University and joined Dr. Wong’s research team as a Research Assistant in 2019. Jie assists with research ethics applications, and data management and collection. She is also responsible for data analysis and publication submissions. Jie likes hiking, road tripping, doing hot yoga, playing fitness games, and spending time with her cat Lucky!
Ben is from Kentville, NS and is the newest member of the team at Dalhousie Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine. His role involves data management, design, clinic/office aide, and writing. Ben recently completed his BSc (honours) in biology at Acadia University. Ben began as a summer research intern and has now been with the team for six months. He intends to pursue medicine following his position in research. He enjoys mountain biking, road cycling, snowboarding, golfing, and spending time with friends.
