MATT MILLER

Research Associate
Matt is from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia and joined the team in July 2022. Matt has a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Acadia University (’09), a Master’s of Science (Exercise Physiology) from Memorial University of Newfoundland (’12), A Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Athletic Therapy) from Sheridan College (’15), his Doctorate (applied biomechanics) is from Concordia University (’21). Matt is also a certified athletic therapist (CAT(C)) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Matt’s role involves managing and coordinating the on-going prospective projects, research ethics applications, writing research grants, assisting in the office and clinic, and supporting the team where needed. Outside of the office Matt enjoys spending time with his friends and family, reading, running and group exercise, and trying new restaurants.

Jie is from Korla, China and completed her Master’s degree at Dalhousie University. She joined Dr. Wong’s research team as a Research Assistant in 2019. Jie assists with research ethics applications, and data management, collection and analysis. She is also responsible for technique video-editing, publication submissions, coordination with trainees' research projects, and research and fellowship account management. Jie likes hiking, road tripping, doing hot yoga, playing fitness games, and spending time with her cats Lucky and Happy.

SARAH REMEDIOS

Sarah is from Ajax, Ontario and joined the team at Dalhousie Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine in March 2021. Sarah graduated from the University of Waterloo with Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology ('18) and a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Biomechanics ('21). Sarah is currently pursuing a PhD in Health at Dalhousie University ('26) where she will explore the biomechanics of rotator cuff tears. Sarah's current role with the team involves prospective project coordination and management, writing grant applications, research ethics submission, surgical video editing, and virtual surgical education development. Sarah enjoys hiking with her dog, Stanley, golfing, and reading a good book.
Research Assistant
MORGAN KING,
MSc, RD
Research Assistant
Morgan has recently joined the Dalhousie Sports Medicine team in October 2022. Morgan has completed her Master's of Science in Applied Human Nutrition and Dietetic Internship program from Mount Saint Vincent University (2022). Previously, she completed her degree from Acadia University in Nutrition and Dietetics (2017) with a minor in kinesiology. With the team, Morgan is responsible for assisting in the clinic and office, surgical 3D printing, submitting research ethics and assisting in data management. Outside of work, Morgan enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and camping.
