Summer Student / Research Student Aide

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to support clinical and research activities in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, comfortable asking questions, and able to manage multiple tasks while adapting to changing priorities with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.​​​​

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively.

• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and reliability.

• Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing deadlines.

• Experience with data management, large datasets, or statistical software (SPSS) is a plus.

• 3D printing experience is an asset.

JOB DESCRIPTION / TASKS

• Assist with ongoing clinical and academic research projects.

• Collect, enter, and maintain research data, including patient info and surgical assessments.

• Conduct chart reviews and support colleagues with research data needs.

• Track project progress and help ensure deadlines are met.

• Support manuscript preparation through literature reviews, drafting, editing, and formatting.

• Organize datasets and assist with basic data analysis.

• Complete research ethics training and maintain certification.

• Observe and participate in patient care clinics to learn how research and clinical practice integrate.

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare and research team.

• Maintain confidentiality and data security.
